AMC’s Walking Dead companion show is getting closer every day, and while we still have not seen the zombies that will populate Fear the Walking Dead (which shows the outbreak as it happens in Los Angeles), we’re now getting our first close look at the terror they bring with them.

AMC just released a new promo which shows Frank Dillane’s Nick on the run, escaping out a window, down an alley and into a street—slowing down only ever so briefly to pull his pants up… because surely he doesn’t want to get tripped up at the ankles while attempting to outrun the living dead. That would be embarrassing. But even in a state of half-undress, the dude looks legitimately terrified. There’s also some very dramatic Inception-y type music to pump up the drama.
