'Fargo' teases season two with a woodpecker, snow... and not much else
We’re back in the frozen Midwest for the upcoming season of FX’s Fargo, with only a busy woodpecker and the sound of gunfire to prepare fans for what’s to come.
The newest chapter of the anthology will be set in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and Luverne, Minnesota back in 1979. FX slowly revealed details from the second season earlier this year, with the cast set to include series regulars Adam Arkin, Ted Danson, Patrick Wilson, Jean Smart, Michael Hogan, Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons.
While the teaser is only a small taste of what fans can expect from season two, Fargo showrunner Noah Hawley did offer some insight back in January during an interview with EW.
“The scope of the storytelling this season is a lot bigger—thematically, on a character level, and story-wise,” Hawley said. “It has more of an epic feel to it. That’s exciting. Within that expansion, we’re still holding onto that Fargo tone.”
The full interview with Hawley is available here, and check out the short clip above. The 10-episode season of Fargo will debut this September.
