Comic Marc Maron announced Thursday that he’ll interview President Barack Obama on the next edition of his popular podcast, WTF with Marc Maron.

“Brace yourselves. Are you sitting down? Okay. Take a breath. All right. If everything goes as planned, on Monday, I will post a WTF — an episode of this show that you’re listening to now — featuring myself in conversation, talking to at my home in my garage … me, talking to the President of the United States of America, Barack Obama,” Maron said at the start of his 612th episode, with guest Judd Apatow. “If everything goes well [Friday]. I’m talking to him [Friday]. If everything goes as planned.”

Maron will conduct the interview in the garage of his Los Angeles home. The episode is scheduled to post online Monday.

According to the host, the secret service have been prepping his house and block for the president’s arrival. “Oh my God, I hope my bathroom’s clean,” Maron joked. “We let the neighbors know. My producer has been at the house dealing with secret service. My street is going to be incredibly safe for the next few days.”

At one point in his career, Maron hosted a show on the now defunct liberal talk network, Air America. Speaking at the onset of his latest podcast, however, Maron said he has “no desire” to do that kind of interview with the president. He called Obama “an incredibly brilliant and interesting man, with a life that I’m going to talk to him about.”

“I had a very relaxing week, other than knowing the President of the United States, Barack Obama, is going to be in my garage,” Maron said.
