Amy Schumer will open for Madonna on tour

Back when Amy Schumer was a little, curly-haired girl, she sang Madonna’s “Like a Prayer” into a camera—and now she’ll get a chance to perform on the same stage as the Queen of Pop: Schumer will open for Madonna on a few tour dates this fall.

The comedian announced the big news on Twitter on Thursday by posting the short, aforementioned home video of herself along with a quick note: “Guess who auditioned for Madonna and got the part?” Although she won’t likely be a convential concert opener — Schumer isn’t a musician, after all — we can still dream that she’ll perform her own rendition of, say, “Like a Virgin.”

Schumer will join Madonna Sept. 16, 17, and 19 in New York. The Rebel Heart Tour officially kicks off Sept. 9 in Montreal.

Schumer’s move Trainwreck hits theaters July 17.
