Whether you loved or hated how the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers NBA Finals turned out, you were hardly alone in watching.

ABC announced that this year’s NBA Finals were the highest-rated for ABC, which has been the exclusive broadcaster of the Finals since the 2002-2003 season.

The entire six-game series averaged a 13.9 overnight rating, which is up from the 10.6 rating posted by the 2014 Finals.

The sixth game, which aired on Tuesday and saw the Warriors win over the Cavaliers to win the Finals for the first time in 40 years, posted a 15.9 overnight rating according to ABC and Nielsen. It is the highest game six in ABC’s history of airing the Finals, up by 8 percent over the most recent game six in 2013. The ratings reached a peak with an 18.8 rating in the 11:45 p.m.-midnight window.
