Back in May, Janet Jackson teased “new music, new world tour, a new movement” for 2015. The 49-year-old pop star confirmed earlier this month that her still-untitled eleventh studio album will come out this fall—and now she’s announced the Unbreakable World Tour.
Jackson announced the tour’s first leg Monday through her website. The 36 dates kick off August 31 in Vancouver, hit cities in Canada and the U.S., before and wrapping up November 12 in Honolulu. The announced shows only cover North America, but Jackson promises that “additional worldwide concerts will be announced at a later date.”
Jackson’s next album will be her first since 2008’s Discipline and marks her debut on her new label, BMG subsidiary Rhythm Nation. Head over to Janet Jackson’s website to see the full list of tour dates. Tickets go on sale June 22 at JanetJackson.com.
