George Lucas, Elijah Wood, Dominic Monaghan, and more react to Christopher Lee's death
UPDATE: George Lucas, who directed Christopher Lee in two of the Star Wars prequel films, has released a statement to EW about the passing of Christopher Lee.
“Christopher was a great British actor of the old school. A true link to cinema’s past and a real gentleman. We will miss him,” Lucas said.

EARLIER: Christopher Lee died at the age of 93, leaving behind a tremendous catalog of work in his time as an actor. From playing Dracula to Sherlock Holmes to starring in blockbuster franchises like Star Wars and The Lord of the Rings, Lee worked with an incredible number of actors, writers, directors, and other film crew members.
Many members of Hollywood, some who worked with Lee and others who were fans of his work, have begun writing their condolences on Twitter. From Lee’s Lord of the Rings co-star Dominic Monaghan to actor Josh Gad to singer Bryan Adams, and even the Mayor of London, a number of recognizable names have begun honoring Lee’s life.
