If you’ve ever mumbled your way through a few bars of a song during karaoke, don’t feel too embarrassed—your fake lyrcis likely aren’t as awful as Molly Shannon’s version of “Waterfalls.”

Shannon, Denis Leary, and Jimmy Fallon played a round of Nonsense Karaoke on The Tonight Show, taking the long-vaulted practice of mishearing lyrics. Only this time, the three stars had to sing them.

Leary asked his sister for peas in a rendition of Def Leppard’s “Pour Some Sugar on Me,” while Shannon’s “Waterfalls” suddenly focused on Barbie dolls and kung-fu (though she unfortunately doesn’t include the rap). And the trio brings it home with a not-so-romantic version of “Thinking Out Loud” by Ed Sheeran that proves really any song could do with a good Urkel or Mr. T reference.
