Ryan Gosling has watched as many Ryan Gosling memes as the rest of the internet.

Speaking with The Daily Telegraph about his directorial debutLost River, Gosling explained what it’s like to be the star of so many memes, and what it was like to have those “hilarious” videos of him breaking it down in MC Hammer pants during his preteen years resurface.

“I had my little hustle,” Gosling said. “Everyone’s got to do their shimmy shimmy ya.”

But with all of those dance moves and Mickey Mouse Club experience, would he ever do a musical? According to his interview with the outlet, he would consider it. “Maybe not [re-]creating those moves specifically, but I do love Gene Kelly and Singin’ in the Rain and An American in Paris, those styles of musicals. Busby Berkeley, I’m a huge fan of,” Gosling said.

When asked if there could be a sequel to that early 90s performance, he joked, “Right, yeah, maybe I can do some kind of Magic Mike thing where I revisit that.” Magic Mike 3: Hey Girl, anyone?
