Liam Neeson will star in A Willing Patriot an international thriller where Neeson plays a CIA agent who engages in an elaborate game of cat-and-mouse with a terrorist who’s planning an attack. Martin Zandvliet will be directing from a script penned by Jason Keller. The film will shoot on location in South Africa, Morocco and Tunisia with a release planned for 2016.
Bruce Willis is set to lead The Bombing, a $56 million 3D Chinese-language war pic about Japan’s aerial attack on the city of Chongqing in World War II. Willis will be playing a flight instructor in the movie. The Xiao Feng-directed film began shooting last month.The pic is due for a 2015 release. [The Hollywood Reporter]
Angela Kinsey, Chris D’Elia, Jason Lewis and Molly Shannon have all signed on to Heather Graham’s directorial debut, Half Magic. Graham wrote the script for the sex comedy herself in which she plays the lead role, Honey. Honey’s goal is to find a man to have “hot sex” with and she makes a pact with her two friends to ignore the self-doubt that gets in the way of them getting what they deserve and the group sets out looking for self-fulfillment. Kate Micucci, Steve Howey, and Justin Chatwin will be staring in the indie pic Unleashed, the story of a woman whose pets turn into men. Micucci will star as Emma, a thirty-something app designer who moves to San Francisco after being betrayed by her boyfriend. One night her pets, Ajax and Summit, turn into two handsome adult men (Howey and Chatwin) who begin to vie for her affections. Shooting will begin in San Francisco on July 1. [The Hollywood Reporter]
