In honor of Tuesday’s National Gun Violence Awareness Day, HBO has released the trailer for its upcoming documentary Requiem for the Dead: American Spring 2014. The film uses footage from social media, 9-1-1 calls, and police files to piece together the stories behind Americans who died of gun violence—accidental shootings, family disputes, and more—in the spring of 2014. According to a press release, the people included in the film represents “just a fraction of the 32,000 people who are lost to gunfire in America every year.”

Directed by Nick Doob and Shari Cookson, who previously won an Emmy for the HBO documentary The Alzheimer’s Project, the film will premiere Monday, June 22, on HBO. Watch the trailer below:
