A first look at the inaugural issue of Rosy Press' 'Fresh Romance' -- exclusive
Take note, world—Fresh Romance is finally here.
The monthly digital romance magazine from ComicsAlliance senior editor and former DC Comics editor Janelle Asselin came to fruition following a massively successful Kickstarter campaign that raised over $50,000. Published by Asselin’s company, Rosy Press, Fresh Romance‘s highly anticipated first issue debuts today.
Featuring 40 pages that includes three 10-page comic stories (a high school romance, a Regency romance, and a paranormal coffee shop romance), the inaugural issue also includes behind-the-scenes art and commentary, as well as a column of relationship advice from four divorced women who offer words on relationships, love and more.
Fresh Romance is available via Comixology or through Rosy Press as a PDF, CBR, or ePub file and is DRM-free. EW has your exclusive first look at the high school romance comic “School Spirit,” written by Kate Leth (Edward Scissorhands), with art by Arielle Jovellanos, Amanda Scurti (colorist), Ensley Chau and Clare DeZutti (color assists), and Taylor Esposito (letterer).
