Chic guitarist Nile Rodgers lent his decades of guitar expertise to Charli XCX for a striped down version of her hit “Boom Clap” on Tuesday, and the result is an effortlessly cool low-key jam. At the launch of streaming service MixRadio, both rocked a pair of shades while Rodgers provided a smooth rock accompaniment to Charli XCX’s vocals.

“Boom Clap” originally appeared on the soundtrack for 2014’s The Fault in Our Stars , and then on Charli XCX’s album Sucker later that year. Chic is expected to drop their first album in 23 years next month.
