  • Ellen Page and Allison Janney will be starring in the dramatic comedy Tallulah. The film is about a woman who rescues a baby from her irresponsible mother and goes on to pretend like the child is hers with the assistance of her ex-boyfriend’s mother. It is assumed that the baby girl has been kidnapped and once she is returned to her biological mother, the three women end up forming a close bond. Production on the film, the directorial debut of Orange Is the New Black writer Sian Heder, will begin next month. [The Wrap]

  • Lake BellBenjamin Bratt, Omari Hardwick (Power), Jon Bernthal (Fury), Emory Cohen (The Place Beyond the Pines), Juan Pablo Raba (Narcos), Evan Jones (8 Mile) and Jeffrey Donovan (Sicario) have boarded Ric Roman Waugh‘s thriller Shot Caller, starring Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Game of Thrones). The story is about a newly released prison gang member who is forced by the leaders of his prison gang to plan a major crime with the assistance of a rival gang in Southern California. Waugh (Snitch) will direct from his own script. Production will begin on May 26 in New Mexico. [The Wrap]

  • Fruitvale Station star Melonie Diaz has been added to James Gunn‘s new horror flick, The Belko Experiment. set up at MGM. Diaz joins recently announced cast members John Gallagher Jr. and Tony Goldwyn as another lead in the film: Dany Wilkins. Dany comes to Belko, an American company in South America, for her first day of work at the building on the very day that it is sealed off and employees are forced to kill each other or be killed. It is then that the employees show who they really are. Greg McLean will direct the film from a script penned by Gunn. [Variety]
