It all started as a joke and a crowd-funding campaign. Rap duo Run the Jewels teased that for $40,000, their second album, Run the Jewels 2, would be remixed with all cat sounds. Naturally, such an audacious endeavor prompted a successful Kickstarter that raised over $65,000. For cats. And rap. Together. Cats and rap.

Random, sporadic Instagram clips—and extensive auditioning—finally brings felines plus flow. Here’s a peek at RTJ2 closer “Angel Duster” with kittens, courtesy of the bewildered rapper/producer.

There’s still no release date for it, but producers Just Blaze and Prince Paul are confirmed for it. As confused as he seems, El-P makes one thing certain: He will deliver.
