If you’re not a fan of a capella or aca-adjectives, this hasn’t been your weekend. Pitch Perfect 2 star Anna Kendrick turned up to The Late Late Show on Friday to challenge host James Corden, who co-starred with her in Into the Woods, to a riff off. Swaddled in complementary tracksuits, they harmonized and battled through a series of hits from several decades, including *NSYNC’s “Bye Bye Bye” and Vanilla Ice’s “Ice Ice Baby.” The real-life a capella group The Filharmonic was on hand to supply background vocals and beat-boxing services. See the results and decide the winner.
