It won’t be too long until Tom Hardy fans will get to see the actor take on the role of twin gangsters, as Universal Studios has announced that it will be releasing the criminal biopic Legend on Friday, Oct. 2, 2015.

Hardy will be playing the dual roles of the notorious Reggie and Ronnie Kray in the film, which follows the rise and fall of the real-life gangster brothers in 1960s London. Co-stars include Emily Browning, David Thewlis, Christopher Eccleston, Chazz Palminteri, Tara Fitzgerald and Taron Egerton. The pic is written and directed by Brian Helgeland (L.A. Confidential) and produced by Working Title Film’s Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner, with Cross Creek Pictures’ Brian Oliver, Chris Clark and Quentin Curtis.

The studio also announced the release date for its upcoming family holiday comedy, A Meyers Christmas. The pic, originally titled A Meyers Thanksgiving, is about an estranged family who chooses to reunite at Christmas for the first time since their mother died. The film, from Baggage Claim writer and director David E. Talbert, is slated for a Nov. 11, 2016, release.
