Weirdos, rejoice: The Craft to get remade by Sony
The weirdos are coming back. Sony Pictures is currently working on a reboot The Craft, the 1996 witch film with Robin Tunney, Fairuza Balk, and Neve Campbell, EW has confirmed. Budding horror director Leigh Janiak will direct the project, as well as co-write with Phil Graziadei. The two co-wrote Janiak’s breakout feature Honeymoon, which was released last year. Columbia Pictures, part of Sony, made the original film. But that’s not the only link to the past cult classic: Doug Wick, a producer on the original film, will act in the same role on the remake, joined by Lucy Fisher.
The Hollywood Reporter first reported the development.
