Blacklist comic launched by Titan Comics
Red Reddington is about to take his adventures to a whole new world: comic books. Titan Comics has officially announced the launch of a new Blacklist comic series, based on the popular NBC show starring James Spader. The first issue, which debuts July 22, features two collectible covers: an original painted cover of Red by acclaimed artist Alice X Zhang (Doctor Who) and a photo cover with an iconic portrait. The series will be written by Nichola Phillips, with art by Beni Lobel (Constantine, Batman: Arkham Unhinged.)
“A true extension of the television series, The Blacklist comic will take you on a journey deep into the dark world of international espionage, conspiracies, and intrigue on a global scale and explore new dimensions of the characters that have captured the audiences worldwide,” David Leach, The Blacklist comic editor, said in a press release.
The first five issues will focus on stories in line with the television series, and will include the show’s major characters such as Lizzie (Megan Boone), Donald (Diego Klattenhoff), Dembe (Hisham Tawfiq) and more. Check out an exclusive look at the first issue below.
