Oscar-winning director Alfonso Cuarón will serve as head of the International Jury at the 72nd Venice Film Festival in September, reports. The announcement comes two years after the Mexican-born director opened the festival with Gravity.

All of Cuarón’s Oscar-nominated directorial projects have premiered at Venice—his 2001 debut, Y Tu Mamà También, won the Osella Award for Best Screenplay, while stars Gael García Bernal and Diego Luna took home the Marcello Mastroianni Award. In 2006, Cuarón’s Children of Men won the Osella Award for Emmanuel Lubezki’s cinematography

The 72nd Venice Film Festival takes place Sept. 2-12, 2015.
