Jason Alexander is responsible for the rise of Taylor Swift—well, sort of.

TMZ recently caught up with the Seinfeld star following a karaoke fundraiser in L.A. where he took the opportunity do his best imitation of the Grammy winner. During the interview, he confessed to not only being a Swift fan, but also putting her in her first video.

Back in 2007, Alexander directed Brad Paisley’s video for “Online,” featuring a teenage Swift dancing onstage with fellow country singer Kellie Pickler. Alexander acted in the video along with William Shatner, Estelle Harris (who played the infamous Estelle Costanza on Seinfeld), and Marcia Brady herself, Maureen McCormick.

While Alexander was joking about taking credit for the “Shake It Off” performer’s success, it’s definitely a fun trip down memory lane. The singer just kicked off her 1989 world tour in Tokyo.
