Journalist Nellie Bly would be 151 today, and Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ frontwoman Karen O gave her a special birthday present: an acoustic song about the writer’s accomplishments.

The song, titled “Nellie,” appears on today’s Google Doodle, and features lyrics like, “Someone’s gotta stand up and tell ’em what a girl is good for, we’ve gotta speak up for the ones who’ve been told to shut up.” The line “what a girl is good for” is in reference to a sexist column titled “What Girls Are Good For” that Bly responded to when she was just 16.

Bly is well-known for breaking barriers in journalism, and also for taking a trip around the world in 72 days that was inspired by Jules Verne’s (fictional) book, Around the World in Eighty Days. “Nellie, take us all around the world with you,” O sings in “Nellie.” “We want to make something of our ourselves, too.”
