The game, which allows players to control characters based on real-life figures that they own, added Marvel heroes last year.
There will be three Star Wars play sets—one set during the prequel trilogy, another set during the original trilogy, and a third, set to release on the winter, that will be based on The Force Awakens. Other playsets will include on based on Inside Out, and another introducing figures from Avengers: Age of Ultron including Hulkbuster Iron Man and Ultron figures. Other announced figures include Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Tron: Legacy‘s Sam Flynn and Quorra, Mulan, Olaf, and others yet to come.
An Infinity 3.0 starter set will be made available for $64.99 and include the game, the prequel trilogy play set titled “Twilight of the Republic,” and Ahsoka Tano and Anakin Skywalker figures. This play set will also introduce Obi-Wan Kenobi, Yoda, and Darth Maul to the game.
The original trilogy play set, “Rise Against the Empire,” will introduce Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Han Solo, Chewbacca, and Darth Vader.
The game’s creation suite, the Toy Box, which allows players to create their own unique levels and gameplay scenarios, will introduce new games called Toy Box Takeover, an action-adventure style experience, and Toy Box Speedway, which will bring a kart racing focus to the Toy Box.
Disney Infinity 3.0 will release for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Wii U, PC, iOS, and Android devices, though no specific date has been revealed. The game was first unveiled on Game Informer‘s upcoming cover.
