San Andreas trailer cautions: California earthquake is 'going to be a global event'
The third trailer for director Brad Peyton’s San Andreas has arrived, featuring more mass destruction… and a warning.
In the film, a massive earthquake hits California along the San Andreas fault. The earthquake prompts search and rescue helicopter pilot Ray (Dwayne Johson) and his estranged wife, Emma (Carla Gugino), to make the dangerous trek from Los Angeles to San Francisco to save their only daughter, Blake (Alexandra Daddario).
“We can’t stop it, we can’t prepare for it,” Paul Giamatti’s character warns in the trailer, as Sia’s chilling, slowed-down cover of the Mamas and the Papas’ “California Dreamin” plays on the soundtrack. “It’s going to be a global event.”
San Andreas opens on May 29, 2015.
