Kim Kardashian has publicly supported Bruce Jenner in the week since he came out as transgender, but there’s one thing she won’t allow the former Olympian to do.

“I said, ‘The only thing is, whatever you do, do not steal my glam team. They are mine,'” Kardashian joked in an interview with Jimmy Kimmel on Thursday.

But not really: “I said, ‘Whatever help you need, you have to look and feel your best. And if you need help with anything — style-wise, glam-wise — I am here to help you,'” Kardashian said.

In the interview last week, Jenner told ABC host Diane Sawyer that it was Kardashian’s husband, Kanye West, who helped his stepdaughter come to terms with the news.

“Kim told me a story. She goes, ‘You know what really turned me around on thinking about this?’ I said, ‘What?’ She goes, ‘Kanye.’ I went, ‘Oh, okay,'” Jenner said. “He says to Kim, ‘Look, I can be married to the most beautiful woman in the world, and I am. I can have the most beautiful little daughter in the world, and I have that. But I’m nothing if I can’t be me. If I can’t be true to myself, they don’t mean anything.'”

Speaking to Kimmel, Kardashian said that Jenner is doing “really well” thanks to all the support he’s received from family, friends and the general public.

“He is so happy,” she said. “I think it’s the sense of relief from all of the amazing support he’s felt. It’s a really brave thing to come out and be so truthful, and to have all of that support, I think, just meant the world to him. And our family.”

Jenner has not indicated a preference for female pronouns. This story uses male pronouns in deference to that.
