Modest Mouse stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live Wednesday night to play two tracks from their most recent album, Strangers to Ourselves—and they proved that they’re still undeniably magnetic onstage even after almost two decades on the scene. (The current six-piece released their first album, This is a Long Drive for Someone with Nothing to Think About, in 1996.)

The band released Strangers to Ourselves, their first album since 2007’s We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank, in March, and it went on to peak at No. 3 on the Billboard 200. They played the album’s second single, “The Ground Walks, With Time in a Box” along with “Wicked Campaign” on Kimmel. Watch the performances below.
