Jurassic Park

  • Movie

If you’ve seen any of the trailers for Jurassic World, then you know that the film is introducing some new breeds of super dinosaur. But the film will also see the return of a fan favorite from the original Jurassic Park.

Speaking to /Film, director Colin Trevorrow revealed that the T. rex will be coming back. Twenty-two years older, she returns hardened after the events of the first film. Trevorrow said he hopes the dinosaur will be instantly recognizable to fans, though she will look a bit different from her first appearance. “We’re giving her some scars and we’re tightening her skin,” Trevorrow explained. “So, she has that feeling of, like, an older Burt Lancaster. And this movie is her Unforgiven.”

And hopefully that means she is looking for revenge on a shirtless Jeff Goldblum.

Read the rest of Trevorrow’s interview to find out about his decision to use motion-capture performances for the dinosaurs.
