Britney Spears lands mobile game deal with 'Kim Kardashian: Hollywood' makers
She has a perfume line, Las Vegas residency, and at one time, a restaurant. Now, Britney Spears will become a video game character thanks to a deal with Glu Mobile Inc., the company announced Wednesday.
The mobile game will feature Spears’ “voice, likeness, and creative influence” and “allow players to interact with Britney and experience the glitz and glamour of the entertainment business,” according to the statement.
“We anticipate the title resonating tremendously with Ms. Spears’ nearly 90 million multi-generational social followers around the world,” Glu Chairman and CEO Niccolo de Masi said in the statement. Glu also developed Kim Kardashian: Hollywood and has plans for a Katy Perry game in the works.
The deal with Spears will last five years, with the potential for a three-year extension. Glu expects the Spears-inspired game to makes its way to tablets and smartphones in the first half of 2016.
