One Direction may claim that girls “don’t need makeup to cover up,” but do they really mean it? Amy Schumer thinks not.

On Tuesday’s Inside Amy Schumer, Schumer took boy bands to task for their tendency to celebrate natural beauty only when it conforms to a certain standard—and she did it in song. The catchy pop tune starts out with some affirmation, as the guys encourage Schumer to wash off her face and embrace the idea that she’s perfect without any beauty enhancements. But once they see their handiwork, they send her right back to the mirror. (“Girl, I can’t be seen with the ghost from The Ring.”)

In response to the sketch, fans blew up Twitter, tweeting makeup-free selfies under the hashtag #girlyoudontneedmakeup (many of which Schumer herself retweeted). Finally, a feminist anthem for people who like humming boy band songs all day.
