The Plain White T’s definitely has a girl named Delilah to thank for their rise to fame. Their iconic 2005 hit “Hey There Delilah” recently got an upgrade when the band recorded a punk-rock cover and while the acoustic version is sweeter, this gives “Delilah” a little bit more of an edge.

Lead singer Tom Higgenson was inspired to write the song by a woman who would go on to be his date to the Grammys after the song took off and quickly found its way onto playlists across the globe. Today, the song has over 33 million views on YouTube. But it all started with that girl in Chicago.
