Forget the frenetic alt-anthem “One Week” that’s probably been stuck in your head since Barenaked Ladies dropped it in September 1998. (Sidenote: “One Week” is almost legal?!) The Canadian rockers typically create more subdued music—a style that’s on display on “Say What You Want,” the lead single off their fourteenth studio album, Silverball, which drops on June 2. EW has the exclusive premiere of the track, which would sound right at home between Collective Soul and Semisonic. But remember: This band might still be cool, but frosted tips aren’t.
