E.L. James' husband to adapt Fifty Shades sequel
The Fifty Shades of Grey sequel will be a family affair.
Niall Leonard—who is married to E.L. James, the author of the popular, erotic trilogy—will adapt the screenplay for Fifty Shades Darker, Entertainment Weekly has confirmed.
Leonard is a well known screenwriter and novelist. He was a writer on such British television shows as Wire in the Blood and Wild at Heart, and his literary credits include Crusher, Incinerator, and Shredder.
Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson will return as Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele in the sequel. Michael De Luca, Dana Brunetti, and E.L. James will return to produce.
