'The Simpsons': Kristen Bell to voice Lisa's rich friend
The Simpsons is making Kristen Bell very rich.
The Frozen actress will play a very wealthy, semi-spoiled friend of Lisa on the animated Fox comedy, EW has learned.
In an episode titled “Friend With Benefit,” which is slated to air early next season, Lisa makes a new pal at school named Harper (Bell), whose internet billionaire father becomes buddies with a different Simpson: Homer. Soon, though, Lisa becomes worried that Harper is a little too entitled. “She’s a great friend… if you do everything she says,” Simpsons executive producer Al Jean tells EW.
Bell, who recently starred in the Veronica Mars movie and guested on Parks and Recreation, is filming the big-screen comedy Michelle Darnell. Her Simpsons episode also features a brief vocal role for David Copperfield, who plays himself.
Lena Dunham and her Girls co-stars are among the other guests on the season 27 roster.
The Simpsons, which wraps up its 26th season on May 17, was renewed for two more seasons earlier this week.
