'Late Show' announces lineup for David Letterman's final episodes
The Late Show with David Letterman is getting a star-studded lineup for its final 28 broadcasts with appearances by George Clooney, Tom Hanks, Oprah Winfrey, Howard Stern, Billy Crystal, and Tina Fey.
Other guests slated to appear with host David Letterman for the final time include Alec Baldwin, Robert Downey Jr., Will Ferrell, Tina Fey, Michael J. Fox, Jack Hanna, Kevin James, Scarlett Johansson, Michael Keaton, Steve Martin, Sarah Jessica Parker, Don Rickles, Julia Roberts, Ray Romano, Paul Rudd, Jerry Seinfeld, Martin Short, John Travolta, Bruce Willis, Elvis Costello, Dave Matthews Band, John Mayer, Mumford and Sons, and Tom Waits.
This week’s guests are Sarah Jessica Parker, The Talk‘s Julie Chen, Asleep at the Wheel, Billy Crystal, sportscaster Chris “Mad Dog” Russo, country music performer Chris Stapleton, Michael J. Fox, Amy Sedaris, Iron & Wine and Ben Bridwell, Kevin James, Tom Dreesen, Tracy Chapman, Alec Baldwin, and John Mayer.
The longest-running host in late-night TV announced he would be retiring in April 2014, saying a special thank-you for the “support from the network, all of the people who have worked here, all of the people in the theater, all the people on the staff, everybody at home.”
Letterman’s final broadcast is set to air Wednesday, May 20 at 11:35 p.m. ET on CBS.
