Jon Bon Jovi will appear on TWC-Dimension’s new series If I Wasn’t a Rock Star, where he’ll return to his hometown to reflect on how life would be different had the singer not found fame.

“I was drawn to this project simply because it will be a celebration of the working men and women of this country,” Bon Jovi, a New Jersey native, said in a statement to Variety. “They are the real rock stars.”

The reality show will strip rock stars of their agents and representatives as they head home for a reflective journey.

Bon Jovi will serve as the series’ executive producer with Bob Weinstein and TWC-Dimension’s Patrick Reardon.

“We couldn’t be more thrilled to be teaming up with Jon Bon Jovi and the teams at Prototype and 3 Ball to bring ‘If I Wasn’t a Rock Star’ to audiences,” Weinstein said in a statement. “The series will offer music fans a chance to see their favorite stars as they’ve never imagined them before. We can’t wait to see what other amazing talent comes on board.”

If I Wasn’t a Rock Star has yet to announce a network or air date.
