Are you feeling introspective?

Are you feeling alone?

Those are two of the questions “Ava” might ask you once you tell her your name on, an addictive time killer of a site that’s part of the promotional campaign for Ex Machina. Directed by Alex Garland, Ex Machina is the sleek new movie about a comely A.I. creation named Ava (played by Alicia Vikander) that’s in theaters today. On, you can interact with the ‘bot on the most basic of levels as she draws your portrait in real time. The pointillistic sketches are black and white and mimic Ava’s drawing style in the movie. In our house, my husband and son routinely got better defined results than I did. No matter how I adjusted the lighting or moved my laptop, I always got a supremely washed-out look. What gives, Ava? She seems to like Grover pretty well, though, don’t you think?

Give it a whirl and let me know in the comments if Ava delivers the portrait of your dreams.
