Reality show ennui may have set in for singing competitions, cooking shows, and housewife wrangling, but TruTV’s Fake Off—which tasks theater acrobats with re-creating iconic moments in pop culture—is still in its own lane.

Season 2 of the genre-flipping elimination competition will enlist 10 new teams who will blend theater, blacklights, illusion, and acrobatics to re-imagine classic pop culture scenes from the worlds of cinema, video games, and sports. (For an example, watch last season’s TV sitcoms or horror movies theme weeks.) New this season are host Corbin Bleu and two new faces behind the judging table: choreographers Laurieann Gibson and Beau Casper Smart, who will join returning judge Harry Shum Jr. on the panel.

The eight-episode run premieres May 6 at 10 p.m. ET on TruTV, but you can watch an exclusive trailer from season two below—and already, it’s clear that the Fakes are measurably bolder than last season.
