Hear the premiere of the Relationship's 'Young Temptations,' featuring Weezer's Brian Bell
- Music
There’s no rest for guitarist Brian Bell. He just performed in Indianapolis as part of the March Madness Music Festival, and now he’s launching the latest release from his band the Relationship. Tomorrow, the band celebrates the release of a brand new 7″ single via Burger Records. They’ve already unveiled the A-side, a sweet little rocker called “Oh Allen,” and you can have the first exclusive spin of the B-side “Young Temptations” below.
“‘Young Temptations,’ the B-side to our upcoming release on Burger Records, is the brother song of A-side single ‘Oh Allen,'” explains Bell. “The essence of the song is simple: youth is the time to make mistakes, so why not ‘have fun, have a good time, ’cause in the end we will be fine.'”
First formed in 2006 as a collaboration between Bell and former U.S. Bombs guitarist Nate Shaw, the Relationship made their recorded debut in 2010 with a self-titled blast of power pop heroics. The band is close to finishing up another full-length, but in the meantime you can pick up the 7″ single and hear the band test-drive new material on tour.
