Broadway dates have been set for the Broadway return of Al Pacino in China Doll, a new play by David Mamet which will begin previews on October 20, 2015 at the Schoenfeld Theatre. Opening night is Nov. 19.

Pam MacKinnon will direct the world premiere, which will also feature Fran Kranz, last seen on Broadway in You Can’t Take It With You. The creative team includes scenic designer Derek McLane, lighting designer Russell H. Champa, and costume designer Jess Goldstein.

The two-hander stars Pacino as a wealthy man on the verge of the next chapter of his life whose plans are flipped after one phone call; Kranz will play his assistant.

Pacino, who will make his 12th appearance on Broadway with China Doll, last appeared on the Main Stem in Mamet’s Glengarry Glen Ross.
