Apparently, Nirvana could have called themselves Fecal Matter.

A new clip from Montage of Heck, the forthcoming Kurt Cobain documentary directed by Brett Morgen and produced by Courtney Love and daughter Francis Bean Cobain,  reveals some of the names the troubled singer and bandmates considered before landing on Nirvana. Potentials like The Mandibles, Godchild, Drugs for Sale, Seringe, and Fecal Matter.  The clip, which premiered on The Guardian Wednesday, also illustrates how the film will use animation—Cobain’s notebooks get a compelling treatment, with his illustrations and scribbles coming to life.

The highly anticipated film will air on HBO May 4 after a short theatrical run. In the U.S. it will be in select theaters in New York, Los Angeles, and Seattle, beginning April 24. The U.K cinemas will see it sooner, with its run beginning as early as April 10.
