May we interest you in a Lifetime movie about a husband and wife who take in and care for a woman in the final months of her pregnancy with the aim of adopting the baby, only to have the situation spiral dangerously out of control?

What if we told you that the couple is played by Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig? And that we swear this isn’t an April Fools’ joke?

The SNL alums have already filmed the two-hour TV movie titled A Deadly Adoption, which is slated to air this summer, EW has confirmed. (The Hollywood Reporter first reported the news.) Part of Lifetime’s 25th anniversary celebration of its movie franchise, the flick is not considered a parody but rather a “high-stakes dramatic thriller” with a knowing wink at the type of TV movies that the network is famous for.

A Deadly Adoption—not to be confused with A Deadly Love or Mom, Dad and Her or My Baby is Missing or Baby for Sale—is being executive produced by Will Ferrell (who is a big fan of the genre, according to the Reporter) and Adam McKay. The script was penned not by Danielle Steel but co-creator Andrew Steele, who co-created IFC’s The Spoils of Babylon, which starred Ferrell and Wiig. (A second Spoils of Babylon miniseries will air this summer).

Jessica Lowndes will star opposite Ferrell and Wiig as the pregnant woman, because you always can use a 90210 vet in a Lifetime movie.
