Kellan Lutz (The Legend of Hercules, Twilight) is breaking out of the fantastical realm and into reality. Fox announced Wednesday that the actor will host the network’s new series Bullseye, a show that will task men and women—four apiece—”to test their bodies and brains in three ultimate challenges that ask nothing more than for them to hit the Bullseye—literally,” according to a press release. Comedian Godfrey will work co-host the affair, hopefully providing snarky commentary on the side.
“I am a huge fan of extreme sports, and for me, nothing beats an adrenaline rush, which is why I am so excited to host this series,” Lutz said in a statement. “I love the concept of physicality and strategy combined with the most awesome challenges that will blow your mind. I am looking forward to watching these competitors push themselves out of their comfort zones and I’ll be on the sidelines cheering them on.”
Bullseye is produced by Endemol Shine North America. Jon Kroll (The Amazing Race) and Scott Larsen (Wipeout) serve as executive producers. Kevin Wehrenberg, J. Rupert Thompson and Shye Sutherland are co-executive producers. The hour-long show is set to premiere Wednesday, May 27 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
