That didn’t take long: Trevor Noah, who was announced as Jon Stewart’s Daily Show successor Monday, is already facing backlash thanks to some old tweets the internet dug up Monday.

The tweets in question joke about Jewish people and women, including lines such as: “Messi gets the ball and the real players try foul him, but Messi doesn’t go down easy, just like jewish chicks.” Some of the other tweets include references to the Holocaust and digs against “fat chicks.”

Noah hasn’t publicly addressed the backlash yet—which includes calls for Comedy Central to rethink their decision to make him host of The Daily Show—and Comedy Central did not immediately respond to EW’s request for comment.
