'Walking Dead' ratings: Most-watched finale ever
Five seasons later and The Walking Dead has done it again: Sunday’s finale hit another ratings record for AMC’s zombie drama. The 90-minute closer delivered 15.8 million viewers and an incredible 8.2 rating among adults 18-49.
That marks the best finale performance in the show’s history — and third most-watched episode overall. This cements TWD as the top-rated TV show in the adult demo this season (with Fox’s break-out phenom Empire ranking No. 2 among dramas — see chart below).
Post-show Talking Dead performed strong too, having a series-high 7.5 million viewers and a 3.9 rating.
