Celine Dion took a hiatus from her Las Vegas concert residency beginning in August 2014 to tend to her ailing husband, René Angélil, but will be returning this upcoming August, the singer announced in an interview with ABC’s Deborah Roberts.

Angélil was diagnosed with throat cancer in the late ’90s, and doctors found the cancer had returned in December 2013. His health has been worsening ever since, and Dion told Roberts she has to feed him by feeding tube three times a day.

But Dion made clear that returning to the stage is the best thing she can do. “I’m doing it for him. I’m doing it for my fans,” she told Roberts. “We have a ticket to live. We have a ticket to ride. We’re living, so let’s live. Let’s go.”

Dion will restart her residency at Caesars Palace’s Colosseum Aug. 27. Watch Roberts’ entire interview on ABC on Wednesday at 12:35 a.m. ET or a clip from it here.
