Fight Club author Chuck Palahniuk has just sold the movie rights to his novel Lullaby, he announced on his Facebook page. Director Andy Mingo and producer Josh Leake optioned the film rights. Mingo directed an adaptation of Palahniuk’s short story “Romance,” from the upcoming collection Make Something Up: Stories You Can’t Unread.

Palahniuk will co-write the script with Mingo. Lullaby follows journalist Carl Steator, who discovers a lethal lullaby during his research on Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.

According to Mingo’s Facebook, the film will shoot in Portland, Oregon pending state legislation. If Oregon fails, they will shoot in Louisiana.
