Nat Wolff to star in James Franco's 'In Dubious Battle'
In Dubious Battle
James Franco is taking on another novel in the American literary canon and Nat Wolff will star. Wolff is playing Jim Nolan in Franco’s adaptation of John Steinbeck’s In Dubious Battle, 1936 novel about striking workers, EW confirmed. Franco is also acting in the film alongside the likes of Bryan Cranston, Robert Duvall, and Selena Gomez. Deadline initially reported the casting.
Wolff appeared in Palo Alto, an adaptation of Franco’s book of short stories directed by Gia Coppola. The perpetually busy Franco recently starred in a Broadway production of Steinbeck’s Of Mice and Men, and spin on the work of classic American novelists previously, directing adaptations of William Faulkner’s As I Lay Dying and The Sound and the Fury.
Wolff leads this summer’s upcoming Paper Towns, based on a John Green novel, and also appeared in the Green adaptation The Fault in Our Stars.
