BBC America announced it will air Top Gear: The Perfect Road Trip Italy on Monday, replacing scheduled episodes of Season 22. The decision comes amid BBC’s investigation into suspended host Jeremy Clarkson and his spat with producer Oisin Tymon.

The BBC released a statement earlier this week saying Clarkson was being investigated following a “fracas” with the producer, and fans have flocked to sign petitions against the decision. Witnesses to the incident told Sky News of the “expletive-laden outburst” during which Clarkson threatened to fire Tymon, according to The Guardian.

The investigation, led by BBC’s Scotland Ken MacQuarrie, is ongoing. The BBC will announce next week whether the Top Gear Live shows will continue. But Phil Bowdery, president of touring at Live Nation, told The Guardian the British shows would go on “as billed with Jeremy Clarkson.”

Top Gear: The Perfect Road Trip Italy airs Monday, March 16 at 9:00 p.m. ET.
