Iggy Azalea explains Great Escape tour delays
On Tuesday Iggy Azalea announced through her label Def Jam that she’s postponed her upcoming North American tour. Originally set for spring, her Great Escape tour is now set to kick off in late September, although her scheduled opening acts Nick Jonas and Tinashe won’t be joining her.
As Billboard reports, Azalea went on Los Angeles radio station 97.1 AMP to offer an explanation. “It is bumped back,” she said, “because I am a psychopath. It is my first arena tour, so it’s a big undertaking and I’m doing a lot of the creative direction, which I do for everything. […] [T]o get this stage done in time, I would be making a lot of sacrifices and cuts and changes and compromises would have had to be made to get this thing done in time.”
