Like pretty much everyone in the music biz, dance-pop duo Kaneholler is heading down to Austin next week for the South by Southwest festival. Before they head out for a few weeks on the road with the Ting Tings, they’re playing a few gigs down there, but the pair (one of whom happens to be Steven Tyler’s daughter Chelsea) hope to also check out some of the other talent assembling down there. They made EW a playlist of some of the stuff they’re most excited to see.

Elliphant – “Revolusion”
“These guys are playing before us at the Nylon party at SXSW and we can’t wait to see them live. Haven’t been able to stop listening to them since finding them, this song especially amps us up big time. That drop though…”
Anderson Paak – “Drugs”
“We saw Anderson play live a couple weeks ago at the Roxy and he blew the roof off the place. When he played this song the crowd just bout rushed the stage. So dope.”
LOLAWOLF – “Dirty Feeling”
“It’s hard to find true originality in today’s over saturated music scene, these guys are really doing something weird in the coolest way. We love the minimal beat, sexy vocals and throwback feel of this song. Gives you that stank face.”
The Skins – “Summertime”
“We’re suckers for badass chick vocals over dirty music. This song (and all of their songs for that matter) is so sexy dirty cool we can’t help but move.”
MS MR – “Hurricane”
“Really love this song, vibey and smooth with a beat that keeps you moving. Love the lyrics too, they make you think.”
Big Data – Dangerous (feat Joywave)
“This is one of our favorites of 2014. There’s nothing better than when two artists can collaborate and make something so memorable. Perfect song for any time of the day.”
KANEHOLLER – “Paper Games”
“Had to throw this one in there. Some songs we write get old fast but this one seems to age like wine. We’re not ashamed of liking our own stank.”
The Ting Tings – “Do It Again”
“We just finished a little tour with these guys and are about to continue on a five-week full U.S. tour following SXSW. They are so much fun to see live. Don’t miss ’em if they come your way.”
A-Trak – “Push” (feat. Andrew Wyatt)
“We just can’t get enough of A-Trak. We always make sure to throw him in our set list when DJing. ‘Push’ is perfect for that late night vibe.”
Dilated Peoples – “Worst Comes to Worst”
“I heard this track when I first moved to L.A. when I was just a tween. Immediately fell in love with their sound. Chill yet groovy, and they always got a great message, which never hurts.”
Spoon – “The Beast and Dragon, Adored”
“Been a fan of these guys for over a decade. This song has such an ominous yet hopeful tone to it. I love it when artists can capture dark and light emotions in one song.”
Griz – “Hard Times”
“Griz has got something real special. We are constantly looking for music that blends the old and the new, and he does it effortlessly. This song brings you back and simultaneously thrusts into the future.”
